Kimberly Keown holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State University with a major in music composition & theory and minors in recording technology and music history.
Kim has extensive experience in professional sound recording including multi-channel mixing and recording, tape editing, sound reinforcement, recording and signal processing, tape machine maintenance and repair, and microphone theory and placement. She has also worked extensively with SMPTE and FSK time codes and MIDI, synching multi-channel tape with computer driven sequencing software and MIDI instruments.
Her composition experience includes theater, ballet, radio, television and commercial music applications. Kim has also achieved success in the contemporary music field. Her works include acoustic, electronic and algorithmic compositions, many of which have been performed at regional festivals and local concerts.
